Emory Roane

Currently finishing his third year at California Western School of Law, with plans to graduate in April and take the July, 2017, California Bar Exam, Emory has a focus on privacy and internet law generally,

but is drawn to any area of the law implicated by the science fiction reality we live in today.

Besides interning at New Media Rights and co-hosting the legal/technology podcast “This WEEK in LAW” , in his free time, Emory is fascinated by disruptive technologies–from smart contracts and cryptocurrencies to virtual reality and everything in between. Passionate about digital civil liberties, cyber security and emerging technologies, Emory hopes to play a role in the ongoing dialogue about the evolving relationship between our laws and our technology.
