Elena Sarigeorgiou is a senior at American University’s School of International Service studying International Studies. Her research explores how digital repression and platform governance obstruct political participation and human rights protections, especially against women and young girls online.
She currently serves as an Observer with the DMUN Foundation, where she represents youth and civil society perspectives to multilateral dialogues and liaises to the SDG16 Global Youth Caucus. She also volunteers as Director of Advocacy with the DOSE Initiative, a youth-led, survivor-led NGO fighting technology-facilitated gender-based violence. In her freetime, she volunteers with the D.C. Global Shapers Hub.
