Varun Raju is a student at Florida State University studying Political Science and Economics with research interests at the intersection of emerging technology, national security, democratic governance, and law. His work focuses on AI governance, technology policy, and the legal and institutional challenges posed by great-power competition. Varun has conducted research with the Cambridge Security Initiative, Hoover Institution, the Ramos Research Institute, and he is completing an honors thesis on AI in national security. He is passionate about advancing responsible technology policy that strengthens democratic institutions while promoting innovation and security.
