PRESS RELEASE: The Internet Law & Policy Foundry Welcomes its Eighth Class of Fellows

The Junior Fellows Join a Growing Global Community of Early-Career Professionals in Internet Law and Policy

Washington, D.C. — The Internet Law & Policy Foundry (The Foundry), an innovative professional development community for early-career experts in law, technology, and policy, is proud to announce the launch of its eighth cohort of Junior Fellows.

The new class was inaugurated on August 9, 2026, marking the official start of their journey as Foundry Fellows. This year’s cohort includes 40 Junior Fellows whose interests and experiences span law, government, technology, civil society, academia, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, platform governance, digital rights, and broader internet policy.

Over the next two years, Fellows will collaborate across the Foundry’s committees and initiatives, contributing to events, podcast production, communications, outreach, and community-building. Through these efforts, the new class will help advance thoughtful discussion on the future of the internet and the evolving legal and policy questions shaping the digital world.

The program is overseen by Tim Lordan, Executive Director of the Internet Education Foundation (IEF), which launched the Foundry to support the next generation of technology policy leaders through cross-disciplinary collaboration, diverse perspectives, and professional development.

The Foundry is excited to welcome the 2026 Class and looks forward to the ideas, perspectives, and contributions they will bring to the community.
