Kabir Darshan Singh Choudhary is a Senior Counsel at the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit organization that hosts Wikipedia and its sister projects. With nearly a decade of experience in technology law and policy, Kabir has dedicated his career to safeguarding an open, inclusive, and secure internet.

Before joining Wikimedia, Kabir represented major technology companies and start-ups at leading Indian law firms (Trilegal and Nishith Desai Associates) with a focus on Technology, Media, and Telecommunications. His practice has evolved to cover cutting-edge legal issues including content moderation, data privacy, digital identity, and open-source governance. At Wikimedia, Kabir develops litigation strategies in cross-border disputes and government engagement on issues concerning online censorship and user rights, and collaborates across teams to ensure compliance with applicable content, privacy, and intellectual property laws. Kabir is licensed to practice law in India and New York and holds CIPP/US and CIPP/E certifications.
