Katherine Bravo is a 3L, at the American University Washington College of Law, who is focused on technology, e-commerce, and data privacy. Her experiences have involved mobile advertising, privacy and data security, finance issues involving identity, intellectual property, and the First Amendment on the internet.
Previously, Katherine was a legal inter at Twitter in San Francisco. As a 2L, she worked on internet policy at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and assisted with privacy litigation and investigations as a Law Clerk with the Federal Trade Commission Division of Privacy and Identity Protection. Last summer, she interned at Stripe in San Francisco where she worked to advance GDPR implementation, open source programs, copyright registrations, and issues of cross-border data transfers.
Her ultimate passion is solving operational challenges and assisting in product design behind technologies to comply with a company’s internal policies and the law.
