Matt works in government affairs and policy communications at Tusk Strategies, a part-political strategy and part-venture capital firm based in New York City.

He advises companies in a wide range of industries, especially consumer technology, on their legislative and regulatory strategies, communications efforts, and executes legislative campaigns.

He is passionate about policy frameworks for and ethical consequences of emerging technologies, and has previously worked as a Policy Fellow at the Lincoln Network and a Google Policy Fellow at the Internet Education Foundation. He is a graduate of Columbia University.
