Hassan Olugbile is a data protection specialist and policy advisor with comprehensive expertise in data privacy, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and networking. He is currently pursuing a MSc in Information Systems (Cybersecurity Management track) at East Tennessee State University.

Hassan previously served as the Data Protection Officer of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), where he contributed to the development of national data protection and Artificial Intelligence frameworks. During his tenure, he actively engaged in aligning Nigeria’s digital governance landscape with international privacy standards, including the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR). This effort supported secure and compliant cross-border data flows, fostering international cooperation and trust. He holds certifications that underpin his deep understanding of data protection, cloud environments and network security, enabling him to address the technical complexities of data protection in modern digital infrastructures. Alongside his technical expertise, Olugbile applies his skills in design and strategic communication to effectively bridge law, technology, and public engagement on data privacy issues.
