Helen Glover

Helen Glover is an interdisciplinary designer exploring the systemic and social dimensions of technology, from the stability of emerging systems to how digital growth creates interconnected networks. Her work focuses on open-source communities, civic technology, and the policy frameworks that support them.

By day, Helen is a consultant at Lewis-Burke Associates, focusing on emerging technologies and environmental resilience. Outside of work, she co-organizes Civic Tech DC, bringing together civic hackers to collaborate with local organizations and nonprofits through project nights and events for the Washington, DC community. She also supports strategy and engagement for CIB Mango Tree, an open-source initiative to build tools that help researchers identify online coordinated inauthentic behavior. Helen conducts independent research in human-computer interaction and serves on the board of the Alliance for Sustainability, an environmental nonprofit.
